Perfect is Subjective

So I was knitting a pair of socks and I was unhappy with how the first one came out. I had adapted a pattern I had found online and though it would have worked fine, it had about an extra inch worth of material on the heel that puckered out funny. So, I attempted to fix that, and was unhappy with that result also. I was about to throw it away when Wesley got ahold of it. What I had wanted to be a perfect sock ended up being instead a perfect cat toy. So, I added some extra features to turn it into a snake with a super-long tongue and Wesley absolutely loves it. What I had thought was a failure actually ended up being quite a success...just for an entirely different purpose.
