Getting Back To Normal

For a number of reasons (mostly holiday schedules, traveling, health and home repair issues) life has been rather chaotic for the past several months. Matt's parents very graciously let us stay with them for about a week to help me recover (health) while Matt worked out some heating (home) issues. We left their house when the power went out due to all of the rain, and arrived at our house to find a leaky roof. All in all everything and everyone is holding together.

This week I have resumed cooking, which has really helped us all to settle in just a bit more. Oh, how I love the comforts of home and home-cooked meals. From some unknown reserve, I found enough energy to make this menu board. Eating in is already more appealing to our family than eating out, and I am hoping that this little project will help make meal planning just that much easier. And more fun.

Oh, the wonder of a cork board, fabric, scrapbook supplies, and post it notes. Ah yes, good stuff.

I've never made a menu board, but we prefer eating at home to eating out too. This is a great idea.
